TranSystems Advances Partnership with Transconomy

After successfully teaming up on a pilot project to deliver a pavement marking inventory, TranSystems has signed a Continuing Services Agreement (CSA) with iENGINEERING to continue to utilize Transconomy for asset inventory projects. This agreement reinforces TranSystems relationship with Transconomy and will allow both parties to seamlessly collaborate on future projects. In fact, TranSystems and Transconomy are currently working together to deliver traffic sign and guardrail inventories for three projects totaling around 500 lane miles of streets and highways to the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT).

Asset management is a recurring need for all transportation agencies and is a necessary consideration to optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of infrastructure networks. Between the innovative technology solutions tailored to specific client needs and the wealth of experience within the transportation industry, Transconomy and TranSystems are well-positioned to continue to grow their relationship and collaborate on many more asset inventory projects in the future.

LTBP InfoBridge Fall 2021 Release

iENGINEERING has successfully delivered the fall 2021 release for the LTBP InfoBridgeTM web portal. In addition to annual data updates, new analytical tools enable engineers and researchers to analyze and monitor performance of bridges efficiently across the US. As part of this release, some of the major enhancements implemented included the addition of new climatic attributes using the NASA Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications (MERRA-2) data repository and the addition of new analytical tools for calculating bridge asset valuation using replacement, existing, and remaining values of selected bridges. In addition to the data for National Bridge Inventory (NBI) and National Bridge Element (NBE), users can now also view, download, and analyze data collected on experimental bridges (off public road bridges). Other features and data filtering enhancements were also incorporated in this fall release for LTBP InfoBridge.

InfoBridge is developed by the LTBP Program, which is an FHWA long-term research effort to help the bridge community better understand bridge performance. The overall objectives of the LTBP Program are to monitor representative samples of bridges nationwide to collect, document, maintain, manage, and disseminate high-quality quantitative performance data over an extended time horizon.
